The Biennale de Paris comes to Toruń this May!

From May 20 to 23, 2025, the Centre of Contemporary Art “Znaki Czasu” will host a unique gathering of experimental, non-visual art practices. Among the main organizers of the event are our doctoral students from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University – Maciej Kwietnicki and Arkadiusz "Pasożyt" Tadych – who are co-creating the Toruń edition of one of the most avant-garde biennials in the world.

French Government Scholarship for Our Doctoral Student

We are proud to announce that our doctoral student, Ms. Maria Woźniak, has been awarded the prestigious "France Excellence" French Government Scholarship. As part of this distinction, she will undertake a one-month research internship at the Roland Mousnier Center at the Faculté des Lettres of Sorbonne University in Paris.

PRELUDIUM Grant for a Linguistics Doctoral Student

We are pleased to announce that our doctoral student, Ms. Svetlana Kuleshova, has been awarded a PRELUDIUM 23 grant from the National Science Centre (NCN). The grant, amounting to PLN 125,140, will support her project titled "From Stone Tools to Language: A Comparison of Proto-Language Models Based on Pantomime and Archaeology."

PRELUDIUM Grant for Our Literary Studies Doctoral Student

We are pleased to announce that our doctoral student, Ms. Bernadetta Jankowska, has been awarded a PRELUDIUM 23 grant from the National Science Centre (NCN). Her project, titled "Crossing Boundaries: Representations of Identity, Madness, and Trauma in the Plays of Contemporary Indigenous Australian Women Playwrights", has received funding in the amount of PLN 110,844.
