Admission for the Academic Year 2026/2027
Applicants holding a Master’s degree, Master of Engineering degree, or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for admission to the Doctoral School.
Admissions Procedure
The admissions process consists of the following stages:

Online registration in the IRK admissions system.

Submission of the required documents in electronic form via the IRK system.

Selection procedure, conducted in two stages:

Stage I – Evaluation of submitted documentation (0–60 points)
-
Stage II – Admissions interview (0–40 points)
The detailed evaluation criteria are specified in the document “Detailed Assessment Rules for the Recruitment of Candidates to the Doctoral School of Humanities, Theology and Arts for disciplines within the fields of humanities, theology, and arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.”
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the documentation specified in Resolution No. 4 of the Senate of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń of 27 January 2026, concerning the conditions and procedures for the admission of candidates to the Doctoral School of Humanities, Theology and Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, as well as in the Detailed Assessment Rules for Candidate Evaluation for disciplines in the fields of humanities, theology, and arts.
Important Information for Applicants

Detailed deadlines and the number of available places will be specified in an ordinance issued by the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University.

Candidates will be ranked according to the total number of points obtained across both stages of the selection procedure.

Admission results will be announced through the IRK system.
Applicants who are admitted are required to submit the original versions of key documents within 5 days of the publication of the results, including:

A printed and signed application form generated from the IRK system;

An academic curriculum vitae;
-
A copy of the Master’s diploma (or equivalent degree certificate);

A research proposal forming the basis of the doctoral dissertation;

A declaration indicating the chosen academic discipline;
-
In the case of theological sciences – the original ecclesiastical licentiate diploma or an appropriate declaration.
Please note: Failure to submit the required original documents within the specified deadline will result in removal from the list of admitted candidates.
Applicants who obtain more than 60 points in the selection procedure may submit a declaration requesting placement on the reserve list.
