Organization of Education at the School – in accordance with § 6 of the Regulations of the Doctoral School of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Senate Resolution No. 159 of 17 December 2019), the following documents must be submitted:

In accordance with § 6 section 4 of the Regulations of the Doctoral School of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń:
A doctoral student is required to submit to the Director of the Doctoral School, by the end of each academic year, a report on the implementation of the individual research plan, approved by the supervisor or supervisors.


Funding for Academic/Scholarly Activities

Procedure for applying for funding from the funds allocated for academic activities (including trips for internships/practical placements):

  1. Submit an application to the Director of the Doctoral School. The application should include:

  1. After approval – submit a request in the xPrimer system.

  2. The doctoral student must deliver to the Secretariat:

NOTE! Due to the introduction of the National e-Invoice System (KSeF) from 1 April 2026, when placing orders and providing invoice details you should ask contractors to include the KSeF identification number in the additional information field.
For invoices handled by the Secretariat of Doctoral Schools, please provide the KSeF identifier: 00696990-SSD.

Exception – for accommodation and for tickets purchased independently – the invoice should be issued in the doctoral student’s name (personal invoice).

For conference fees, a taxpayer declaration for PIT must be attached.

International Trips

International trips are settled in the Mobility Settlement Section. More information is available at:

Procedure:

  1. Application to the Director of the Doctoral School

  2. After approval → submit a request in the xPrimer system

  3. Application for travel abroad – generated from the Mobility Settlement Section website and submitted to the Secretariat

  4. Ticket purchase, advance payments in foreign currency, and trip settlement → Mobility Settlement Section


Suspension of Education Due to Parenthood

Doctoral students at the doctoral school have the right to suspend their education due to childbirth or childcare.

At the request of the doctoral student, education is suspended for a period corresponding to the duration of:

as specified in the Act of 26 June 1974 – Labour Code (Article 204(3) of the Act on Higher Education and Science).

The suspension of education is granted for a period corresponding to the duration of the specific leave defined in the Labour Code.


Social Insurance Information (ZUS)

Right to financial benefits in the event of illness and maternity for doctoral students who began their education from 1 October 2019.
